Jeddah – The foreign ministers of Morocco, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Jordan met on the sidelines of the preparatory meetings for the Jeddah Arab Summit to discuss regional issues and international developments, including the agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran reached last March.

The ministers agreed to continue conversations to achieve collaborative coordination that takes into consideration the most important common interests during their meeting, during which they discussed their views and visions while protecting common Arab interests.

Nasser Bourita, the minister of foreign affairs, African cooperation, and Moroccan expatriates, met with many of his Arab counterparts on Wednesday.

On this occasion, the Algerian president’s emissary delivered HM King Mohammed VI, may God be with him, a letter inviting him to the Arab Summit, which will be held in Algeria on November 1 and 2, 2022.

The 31st meeting of the Arab Summit will be held in Algeria from November 1–2, and preparations are already being made.

The official invitation to King Mohammed VI to attend the Algeria Summit will be delivered by Algeria’s envoy to Morocco in the coming week.

The Algiers summit suggests tackling the difficult Arab challenges on three fronts, starting with the security level and the complicated scenario that it entails on Libyan land, the Yemeni crisis, and the crises in Syria, Sudan, and Somalia, which take the form of an armed security battle.

In addition to the third level, which is focused on the Palestinian cause, the second and third levels address regional files linked to the situation in Iraq, Lebanon, and Libya as well as the constitutional vacuum crises in those countries.

The Arab leaders struck a devastating blow to Algeria’s military administration, which was attempting to convene an Arab summit, despite the fact that it had become a symbol of Arab disintegration due to hostile attitudes against Morocco’s educational unity.

It was stated yesterday that the next Arab summit in Algiers will be postponed, but no precise date had been specified. The Arab summit will be held in Algiers in March, according to Algerian President Abdel Majid Tebboune.

Hossam Zaki, the League of Arab States’ Assistant Secretary-General, announced in a news statement that the future Arab summit in Algeria “will not be conducted until the month of Ramadan, which will arrive to the Islamic Ummah early next April,” which means the end of May or June.

“The date of the summit will be revealed during the meeting of the Arab Ministers of Foreign Affairs, which will take place at the Secretariat-headquarters General’s in Cairo on March 9,” Zaki added.
