The Santa Fe region of Argentina wants to create a beneficial partnership with Morocco in the fertilizer and agriculture sectors.

One of the most productive areas in Argentina is the province of Santa Fe, which is found in the country’s northeast.

At a working discussion with the Moroccan ambassador to Argentina, Fares Yassir, on the sidelines of the Agricultural Fair, Regional Production Minister Daniel Costamanga highlighted the province’s willingness to collaborate with Morocco in terms of fertilizer.

Santa Fe and Morocco are getting ready to collaborate on a “big challenge in regard to an important investment,” according to the provincial official, with the goal of assisting in the development of the province’s resources and the preservation of its agricultural land.

Acknowledging Morocco’s leadership in the fertilizer domain, Costamanga stressed that cooperation with Morocco is an opportunity to boost the region’s growth.

“We are going to put all of our energy and all the potential of our policy of stimulating agro-industrial production in the province of Santa Fe into it so that our relations with Morocco develop beyond this investment and so that they are sustainable and beneficial for Morocco, for the province of Santa Fe and for the thousands of farmers who integrate the agricultural complex” of the region, he said.

Through its OCP Group, Morocco continues to boost its leadership in the fertilizer market. OCP Group has frequently emphasized its determination to continue helping countries and partners develop their agricultural yields through fertilizer.

Since Morocco is home to 75% of the world’s phosphate rock reserves, the company oversees Morocco’s phosphate holdings. The substance is a vital component used in the manufacture of fertilizer.

At the end of September 2022, OCP’s main segment of sales—representing 65% of all sales—was dominated by fertilizers.

South American, Asian, and African nations had high demand, and these regions accounted for 87% of the group’s export volume between 2018 and 2022.

Last year, the group’s revenues exceeded $11 billion, an increase of 36% from the previous year.

In a thrilling match at the Lusail Stadium, Saudi Arabia staged a historic World Cup shock by defeating one of the tournament favorites, Argentina, 2-1.

The Asian team, rated 51st in the world, ended the star-studded Argentinian team, captained by Lionel Messi36-match ,’s winning streak by recording only their fourth tournament triumph overall and their second since 1994.

In his fifth and final appearance, Messi’s quest to win the top award in international football got off to the best possible start as he rolled in a penalty after only 10 minutes.

Three of Argentina’s goals in the first half were ruled out for offsides, but the team was startled by Saudi Arabia’s improvement after the interval.

The game was turned on its head by two outstanding goals from Saleh Al-Shehri and Salem Al-Dawsari in the space of four minutes, and the Saudis fiercely defended to hold on to one of their largest victories ever.

With matches remaining against Group C opponents Poland and Mexico, Herve Renard’s team is currently well-positioned to advance to the knockout rounds for the first time in 28 years.

Prior to this, Saudi Arabia had only won in four World Cup games, including two victories from 1994, their last and lone appearance in the knockout rounds.

This is perhaps their best triumph ever; it is their second tournament victory in the previous 28 years. They defeated Egypt four years ago in Russia and previously defeated Morocco and Belgium in the USA ’94.

But defeating this Argentina team, captained by Messi, and regarded as one of the tournament favorites, will go down as one of the biggest shocks in tournament history – and perhaps the biggest event in Saudi Arabian football history.

Argentina has finally joined last Wednesday a handful of South American countries which legalize abortion.

The vote for this law has stirred huge debate which lasted for more than 12 hours before Senate President Cristina Kirchner confirmed it. The confirmation of the law has led numerous pro-abortion activists to take to the street and celebrate in the capital Buenos Aires.

President, Alberto Fernandez, expressed how hundreds of thousands of illegal abortions take place in the dark every year resulting in the death of at least 3.000 women since 1980. Alberto Fernandez is the one to propose this bill earlier last year.

This point-turning bill has succeeded in a country of 44 million in spite of the huge opposition of the Evangelical Christians and traditional Roman Catholics. Pope Francis tweeted his indirect disapproval of such a bill ahead of the vote.

In South America only Uruguay, Cuba and Guyana allow voluntary abortion applying extreme restrictive abortion laws in the world.
