Morocco: Royal Navy Assists in Rescuing 165 Candidates of Illegal Migration

Units of the Royal Navy operating in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic have rescued this weekend 165 candidates for irregular migration.

Units of the Royal Navy operating in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic have rescued this weekend 165 candidates for irregular migration.

The people rescued, 103 sub-Saharans, 34 Moroccans, 27 Bangladeshis and one Burmese, were in difficulty aboard various makeshift boats.

They candidates received first aid on board units of the Royal Navy before being brought back safe and sound to the closest ports of the Kingdom and handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual procedures.
