Minister of Trade and Industry: Morocco is ready to fully enter the airplane installation market

Ryad Mezzour, Morocco’s Minister of Trade and Industry, stated that Morocco is prepared to enter the sector of aircraft installation altogether, after previously being limited to the fabrication of its parts.

The minister also stated that satellite parts are now manufactured in Morocco, and that the manufacturing path in our country will be enhanced with a complete aircraft manufacture, noting that a Swiss company for aircraft manufacture has concluded an agreement with another company on the complete production of the 12-PC airframe in Casablanca.

During his participation in the Productive Sectors Committee, the same speaker emphasized that, thanks to recovery efforts, most industrial sectors have returned pre-crisis levels in terms of jobs and exports.

During the presentation of his ministry’s draft budget, the government official emphasized that “Morocco’s industries in the automobile and textile sectors began to function before European and Asian factories, due to proximity and competitiveness.”
