Ibrahim Saadoun’s deadline for filing an appeal against his death sentence has been extended by the court

The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic extended the deadline for filing a cassation appeal against Moroccan citizen Saadoun Ibrahim, who was sentenced to death.

The Donetsk Court sentenced three foreign citizens to death on June 9 after they were arrested in Mariupol in mid-April.

They are Sean Penner, Aiden Aslin, and Saadoun Ibrahim of Morocco. They acknowledged their involvement in Ukraine’s armed aggression against the Donetsk Republic.

Previously, Moroccan defense lawyer of Saadoun Ibrahim had filed an appeal against his client’s death sentence.
