Morocco-Croatia: here is the referee of the first match of the Atlas Lions

FIFA has appointed a four-member team of South American referees to lead the Atlas Lions’ first match at the 2022 World Cup (20 November-18 December).

The match between Morocco and Croatia on November 23 will be officiated by Argentine Fernando Rapallini, according to the International Football Federation (FIFA).

His fellow countrymen Diego Bonfa and Juan Pablo Belatti will help him. The fourth official will be Peruvian Kevin Ortega.

While another Uruguayan, Nicolas Taran, will be in charge of offside and Italian Paolo Valeri will be in support, Chilean Julio Bascunan will be in charge of the VAR, assisted by Uruguayan Leodan Gonzalez.

The match, which will mark the debut of the Atlas Lions at the World Cup (November 20-December 18), is scheduled for 11:00 am at Al Bayt Stadium.
