Tibu: Named Best North African NGO in Johannesburg

Tibu Africa, a Moroccan NGO that works to empower young people and promote socioeconomic inclusion through sport in the Kingdom and throughout Africa, was named the best NGO in North Africa on Thursday in Johannesburg by the Leading like Mandela and Sport for Social Change networks.

During a ceremony held at SABC Radio Park in Johannesburg, in the presence of Allan Williams, director of the Sport for Social Change Network (SSCN), and members of the family of former South African President Nelson Mandela Madiba, the Best NGO Award was given to Mohamed Amine Zariat, president of Tibu Africa.

Under the theme “Leading like Mandela,” Sport for Social Change Network formally introduced the first SSCN Africa Awards to recognize, through the distribution of various awards, the many heroes and social actors who work to support and inspire young people on the continent to realize their potential through sport.
