King pays special tribute to Atlas Lions

King Mohammed VI had a phone conversation with national team coach Walid Regragui following the semi-final match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar-2022, which opposed the national team against its French counterpart and ended in a French victory.

During the interview, the Sovereign praised the coach, players, and other members of the national team for their outstanding performances during the Cup, and wished them continued success in their upcoming games.

The King praised Walid Regragui’s performance for forging a group of players so compact and combative in just a few months at the head of the national team, to the point of marking this competition and honoring the Moroccan people and the international public through his high values of sportsmanship and his exemplary talent.

On this occasion, the King also spoke with the captain of the national team, Romain Saiss, whom he wished a speedy recovery from his injury, congratulating him on his leadership, and charging him to convey the warm Royal congratulations to the entire team.
