Sahara : Bahrain declares its intention to establish a consulate in Laayoune.

The president of the Council of Representatives emphasized his country’s intention to open a consulate in the city of Laayoune during an audience granted this Sunday to Mr. Khalid Bin Salman Al Musallam, ambassador of Bahrain to Morocco.

Another country will now be added to the long list of nations that have established embassies in the southern provinces, affirming their support for Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara.

Ahmed Salman Al Musallam, the president of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives, reiterated that his nation supports and backs the Kingdom of Morocco’s sovereignty over its southern provinces, as well as its security and stability. The president of the Council of Representatives emphasized Bahrain’s intention to open a consulate in the city of Laayoune during an audience given this Sunday, January 8, to Mr. Khalid bin Salman Al Musallam, Bahrain’s ambassador to Morocco, according to the Bahraini News Agency.

The president of the Council of Representatives highlighted the depth and solidity of the two kingdoms’ fraternal relations, mentioning the common desire to strengthen the process of bilateral cooperation in its entirety, particularly in the parliamentary and economic sectors, and to open wider perspectives “in the service of the two countries’ interests.” As reported by the Bahrain News Agency.

According to Ahmed Salman Al Musallam, the distinguished relations and numerous partnerships that unite the two brotherly countries have been strengthened and further developed under the wise leadership of the two countries’ Sovereigns, King Hamad Ben Issa Al Khalifa and HM King Mohammed VI.

He also praised Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the Council of Ministers, for his efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields and sectors of development, as well as to pursue cooperation and coordination in the service of the two countries’ and peoples’ common interests.
