Marrakech one of Vogue’s Best ‘Winter Sun’ Destinations for 2023

The list of top travel destinations to visit in 2023 includes Marrakech as well as numerous other Moroccan cities.

Marrakech has been listed as one of the “best winter sun” destinations for 2023 by Vogue.

The renowned magazine highlighted Marrakech’s proximity to London and said it was a “mainstay on lists of the best winter sun destinations and with good reason.”

The souk, the former home of Yves Saint Laurent, and the MAP Marrakech museum, which houses more than 3,000 pieces of jewelry from around the world, are among the places listed in the magazine’s list that was published earlier this month.

The Royal Mansour and El Fenn, two of the city’s grand dame hotels, “remain as opulent as ever,” Vogue wrote.

The travel guide encouraged readers to think about going a little outside of Marrakech to the Caravan Agafay, where they could “experience something different.”

The Atlas mountains can be seen from the eco-luxe tents at Habitas’ most recent opening, which is surrounded by the lunar landscape of the Agafay desert, according to the magazine.

Among other places, Vogue’s list of the best winter sun destinations includes Bali and the Maldives.

Famous publications and websites have listed Marrakech as one of the top travel destinations for this year.

Marrakech has been ranked as one of the top travel destinations for 2023 by the travel review website Tripadvisor.

Marrakech was ranked eighth in the 2023 Travelers’ Choice list, behind Dubai, Bali, London, Rome, Paris, Cancun, and Crete.
Marrakech is just one of Morocco’s attractive cities, though.

The entire nation was listed as one of the top travel destinations for 2023 by The Washington Post.

As reported by reporter Andrea Sachs in Fez, “if you’re worried about your travel budget, consider visiting as a work exchange volunteer,” the Washington Post advised.

Between January and November of last year, 10.9 million tourists visited the nation of North Africa.

In the first 11 months of 2022, tourism brought in $8 billion for the nation.
