The Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier will host the first friendly game of 2023 for the Brazilian men’s national football team on March 25. According to the Brazilian Football Confederation, this will be the first time the national team will play on Moroccan soil.

The stadium in Tangier, which had its official opening in April 2011 and has a seating capacity of 65,000, was also briefly introduced by the federation. According to the same source, “it became known to Brazilians after hosting the Club World Cup,” in which Flamengo of Brazil took part.

The Seleço, which hasn’t yet hired a coach, will be under the direction of Ramon Menezes, who was in charge of the team that won the South American U-20 Championship last Sunday.

The Brazilian media reported that an agreement had been reached with Italian Carlo Ancelotti, who is currently at Real Madrid, to take over the Brazilian national team for three years after Tite’s departure following the team’s elimination in the quarterfinals in Qatar.

The CBF emphasizes that the upcoming FIFA friendlies will consist of just the game against Morocco.
