Khalid Naciri, former Moroccan Minister of Communication and Ambassador to Jordan, passed away at the age of 77

Born in Casablanca in 1946, Khalid Naciri was a prominent member of the PPS and passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in Rabat. He had been a member of the party’s central committee since 1975 and had joined the political bureau in 1995. Khalid Naciri, a career lawyer and member of the Casablanca bar, has been the kingdom’s ambassador to Jordan since August 20, 2018. He previously served as minister of communication (2007–2011) and was the Higher Institute of Administration’s director from 1996 until 2013.

Mr. Naciri is a human rights advocate who helped form the Moroccan Human Rights Organization in 1988 and presided over it in 1990. He also overwhelmingly presided over the Arab League’s Permanent Arab Council for Human Rights for three terms, from 2000 to 2006.

Khalid Naciri is a professor of constitutional law at the department of legal sciences in Casablanca and the creator of numerous publications, research, and articles in the fields of political science and public law. He served as one of the show’s primary hosts during the 1990s.
The funeral date will be revealed later, according to a press release from the political office of the PPS, which also confirmed his death on Wednesday night.
