Macron booed on first trip since pension reform
Crowds in eastern France booed French President Emmanuel Macron as he left on his first trip to a French area since enacting his unpopular pensions reform, according to an AFP correspondent.
Locals in Selestat, in the Alsace region, yelled, “Macron resign!” when he was heckled by many persons there, including one who said he had a “corrupt government.”
Asked by a journalist how he felt, the president replied: “I have had it worse.”
