King Mohammed VI orders immediate evacuation of Moroccan citizens from Sudan

In order to facilitate the safe emigration of Moroccan citizens leaving the nation, King Mohammed VI has issued urgent directives. The action is being taken as the security situation in Sudan worsens, raising concerns among visitors to the nation.

An immediate land convoy from the capital city of Khartoum to the port city of Port Sudan was organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Sudan.

The more than 200 Moroccan residents in Sudan or whose presence coincided with the tense scenario were swiftly evacuated to safety. The embassy verified that earlier today, the land convoy successfully arrived at its destination at the Port.

To facilitate the rapid and secure return of all Moroccan citizens and their families to their country of origin, a special air bridge has been planned with Royal Air Maroc as part of the evacuation strategy.
