As Morocco experiences yet another round of intense rain and snow precipitation, locals of the southern Moroccan village of Tidli have been cut off by heavy snowfall.
The Tidli village was severely affected by the heavy snowfall in Ouarzazate, which came as the national meteorological department had predicted, and residents were forced to appeal for help and intervention on social media.
A number of posts that have since gone viral included images of the deep snowfall, closed roads, and houses in remote areas that were completely covered in the white stuff.
Facebook posts about the situation pleaded for urgent action to end the isolation on all Tidili roundabouts, indicating that all communication networks, including electricity, have been shut down since last night.

The 150-centimeter-long, heavy snowfall completely cut off the residents, leaving them waiting in vain for assistance.
Cities like Agadir, Taroudant, Tata, Guelmim, and Ouarzazate have experienced extremely heavy rain and snowfall over the past two days.

From Thursday night to Friday morning, a number of side roads had restrictions.
These rains, especially in the province of Tata, brought about floods. In fact, a number of province districts now have higher water levels due to the Oued Tata overflow.

Agouim, the road connecting Marrakech and Ouarzazate, and the town of Tidli all experienced significant snowfall.
According to some Facebook posts, the National Water and Electricity Office did respond to the mounting calls for intervention, but was unable to reach the damaged areas of Ouarzazate due to the snow’s density.
