On the occasion of Aid Al Maoulid Annabaoui,His Majesty King Mohamed VI granted a Royal Pardon to 931 convicts, inmates and on parole according to the Minister of Justice in a Communique.
The recipients of the royal pardon are divided as follows:
- 677 inmates serving their time within prison walls.
- 254 convicts on parole.
Morocco has succeeded in integrating previous convicts into society by establishing different projects that aim at improving convicts’ social mobility and assisting them in gaining a source of living by applying what they had been taught in prison workshops and training.
