The Lion of the Atlas and Paris Saint-Germain player, Achraf Hakimi, is accused in a rape case in France, according to several French media.

Among these, the daily “Le Parisien” reported that a 23-year-old woman had filed a complaint at the police station in Nogent-sur-Marne (Val de Marne), claiming to have been raped by Hakimi.

On Tuesday, the Spanish newspaper “Marca” reported that Achraf Hakimi denied all these allegations, thus denying any rape.

In an article, the media assures that the Atlas Lion is sure of his innocence. “Achraf Hakimi, who attended the FIFA awards ceremony on Monday evening, was calm and did not seem to be affected by the accusations,” the newspaper said.

Le Parisien reported that the player met the young woman on Instagram on 16 January and invited her to his home on Saturday 25 February. The Parisian daily also added that Hakimi was alone at the time of these unproven facts, while his wife and their children were on holiday in Dubai.

Achraf Hakimi, a football player for Paris Saint-Germain, is currently the subject of a rape investigation. A young woman who spoke to the police at Nogent-sur-Marne station over the weekend reported the incident. According to Le Parisien media, the prosecution has taken up the case even though she initially chose not to file a complaint.

Due to the gravity of the allegations and the celebrity’s involvement, the on-duty police officer immediately contacted his superiors and the Créteil public prosecutor’s office. The alleged victim, a 23-year-old Fontenay-sous-Bois resident, stated that she preferred to “make a statement of rape” as opposed to making a formal complaint.

Since the alleged incident took place in Boulogne-Billancourt, the case was initially handled by the public prosecutor’s office in Créteil before being transferred to the office in Nanterre. The investigation was started on Monday using the complainant’s comments, but the investigating service had not yet been contacted.

The alleged victim claims that on January 16, she had her first Instagram conversation with Achraf Hakimi. On February 25, she traveled to Hakimi’s home in Boulogne using an Uber that he had arranged for her. She reportedly objected when the Moroccan player kissed her on the mouth, lifted her clothes, and kissed her breasts there. Despite her denials, he allegedly also engaged in digital penetration. He was pushed aside by the woman, who was able to flee by using her foot.

She texted a friend after the incident, and they came to pick her up. Due to thight soreness, the footballer missed a game on Sunday night, and le Le Parisien reported that his wife and two children were reportedly on vacation in Dubai, leaving him likely alone at home.

“I am so happy that we played as well as we did and held the Moroccan flag as high as possible. As a team, we are so united and we were so clear on what we wanted to achieve. That was one of the strongest aspects of our selection. We were very close and had so many amazing moments together. Even though it had only been a month, it felt like we had been together much longer,” he says.

For the next generation of footballers, Hakimi advises that they “enjoy their lives, work hard and allow themselves to dream of everything they might want to achieve in the future”.

“No one can tell them they can’t achieve it because all dreams can come true – I am an example of that. I have always dreamed of being a footballer and now I am lucky enough to be one. With hard work and determination, anything can be achieved,” says the PSG player.

Achraf Hakimi won the title of best Arab sportsman in 2023 after the general public was invited to vote for his favorite athlete of the year. The Joy Awards honor both male and female celebrities from the MENA region for their outstanding accomplishments.

The international player thoroughly deserved his award, according to Turki Al Sheikh, chairman of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, because of his significant presence at Paris Saint-Germain and his outstanding performance with the Atlas Lions at the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Mariam Saleh Binladen, a Saudi woman, won the award for the most popular sportswoman, he continued.

The Moroccan national team qualified for the Qatar 2022 World Cup with a four-goal victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo in the second leg of the final round at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.

Morocco advanced to the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-1 win over Malawi on Tuesday, thanks to a spectacular free-kick by Achraf Hakimi.

With a remarkable goal from 40 meters at Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium, Gabadinho Mhango gave outsiders Malawi a shock early lead in their first ever knockout encounter at the tournament.

Morocco drew level in first-half stoppage time with to Youssef En-Nesyri’s goal but Hakimi hammered in the winner on 70 minutes to set up a last-eight encounter with Egypt or Ivory Coast.

The quarter-final was scheduled to take place at Yaounde’s Olembe Stadium, but it will be rescheduled following a terrible crush outside the stadium on Monday, which killed eight people and injured 38 more.

A minute’s silence was observed before kick-off, as it had been in the last encounter between Senegal and Cape Verde at Bafoussam, and both sides’ players wore black armbands.

Morocco, looking for their second Cup of Nations championship and first since 1976, fell behind after Mhango got Yassine Bounou off his line with a spectacular long-range goal after only seven minutes.

When Hakimi’s cross struck Malawi defender Dennis Chembezi’s arm in the second half, he screamed for a penalty, but the Paris Saint-Germain star took matters into his own hands to secure victory.

Hakimi struck another beautiful free-kick 20 minutes from time to terminate Malawi’s remarkable run after his late equaliser against Gabon had won top spot in the group stage.
