Yassine Bounou: A finalist for the “Best Goalkeeper 2022” award

Yassine Bounou, the goalkeeper for the Atlas Lions, is one of the three finalists for FIFA’s The Best Goalkeeper of the Year 2022 award.

Bounou, a Sevilla player, will face off against Emiliano Martinez of Aston Villa and Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid.

The Best is awarded to the goalkeepers with the best performances between 8 August 2021 and 18 December 2022.

Five players were nominated for The Best – FIFA Goalkeeper Award after selection by a panel of experts. From this list, the three finalists were chosen by an international jury of men’s national team coaches, men’s national team captains, football journalists and fans who voted on the FIFA website.

The winner will be announced at the ceremony on 27 February 2023 in Paris.
