The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Azerbaijani colleague, Jeyhun Bayramov, co-chaired the Joint Cooperation Commission’s second session on Monday in Rabat, where this stance was presented.

The Azerbaijani side stated in the meeting minutes that it is committed to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom and that it supports the UN and the Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy in their efforts to find a just and lasting political solution to the Sahara issue. These efforts are based on the pertinent resolutions of the UN Security Council, most notably Resolution 2703, the Moroccan Autonomy Plan, and the sincere and legitimate efforts being made by Morocco to end this fabricated conflict.

The document claims that Morocco and Azerbaijan’s relations have achieved a pinnacle of excellence, marked by mutual respect, trust, solidarity, and support for each other on matters of critical importance to the two friendly nations.

The same source states that President Ilham Aliyev and His Majesty King Mohammed VI are especially keen to expand and enhance these ties for the prosperity and welfare of the peoples of Azerbaijan and Morocco.

The Jeddah Declaration, which calls for Arab unity, the cessation of outside meddling in the area, and the rejection of all forms of separatist, was approved by all summit participants before it was adjourned.

Respect for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of all Arab states was also emphasized in the proclamation. It denounced domestic military confrontations, claiming that they only make peoples’ suffering worse and keep them from achieving their goals.

Inherent rights of Arab citizens include sustainable growth, security, stability, and a peaceful existence, according to the Jeddah Declaration. It demanded stepping up efforts to tackle corruption and crime at all levels.

The Jeddah Declaration completely complies with Moroccan diplomatic standards in light of the current climate in the Arab world. Morocco has consistently argued that all members of the League of Arab States must uphold these ideals.

Morocco’s stance on a variety of issues, including its territorial integrity and the Palestinian cause, is confirmed and strengthened by the Jeddah Declaration. The declaration also acknowledges the support provided by the Al-Quds Committee, which is led by King Mohammed VI, for Al-Quds and the Palestinian cause.

Professor of international relations at the University of Mohammed I in Oujda, Dr. Khalid Chiat, gave Hespress a comprehensive study of the Jeddah Declaration. He asserted that the element that “supports the unity of Arab countries and the rejection of all forms that promote separation, fragmentation, and segregation” is extremely important.

According to the professor, the declaration is consistent with the principles that Morocco and the Arab nations uphold and support. The League of Arab States’ ideals are prominent in Morocco and are an expression of hostility toward organizations like the Polisario’s separatist movement that call for the founding of new states.

The Moroccan professor emphasized that the decision to reinstate Syria in the League of Arab States was made in accordance with a “consensus around these values that supports unity and not in support for separatist movements.”

In his additional remarks, Khalid Chiat notes that “the Sovereign, as head of the Al-Quds Committee, reflects the vision that Morocco has on the Palestinian problem, and in particular in Al-Quds Sharif, as well as that of the Arab League.

For the Arab League, the Jeddah Declaration represents a tremendous milestone. It offers a future road map and reinforces the organization’s dedication to its basic ideals. Morocco and everyone who supports Arab unification have won with the announcement.

During the demonstration organized by members of the Moroccan community residing in France, on Saturday, in “Place de la Republique” in Paris, it was documented that Moroccan women were subjected to brutal assaults by a group of separatists, some of them were carrying sticks.

Moroccan activists on social media praised the courage of Samira Boulanouar, who appeared in the video, peacefully defending the Moroccan flag. This prompted the “Polisario” separatists to attack her in front of her children. Samira Boulanouar said that a group of separatists, men, and women, attacked her during the demonstration, to take the Moroccan flag that was in her possession; but they were not able to do so.

Moroccan commentators condemned the attack by separatists on the Moroccan woman, describing it as a “cowardly barbaric act”, calling on the members of the Moroccan community abroad to rally in this circumstance the national issue is passing through. Moroccan activists called on the Moroccan political parties and associations abroad to frame the members of the Moroccan community to confront the separatist demonstrations which are promoting false information about the Moroccan Sahara and trying to win the sympathy of the international public opinion.

The Moroccan community in France exposed the propaganda carried out by the “Polisario” front abroad to confuse the French public opinion regarding the developments of the Moroccan Sahara issue after the liberation of Guerguerat crossing, as it emphasized the issue’s justice and adherence to peace to settle the fabricated regional conflict.

Writer and journalist Sofiane al-Samarrai said that the Polisario gangs “were wearing the uniform of the terrorist Iranian Revolutionary Guards during their attack on demonstrations of the Moroccan community in Paris against this gang’s interference in the Moroccan Sahara.”

The Iraqi journalist added, in a post on his account on the “Twitter” social networking site, that “Iran and Algeria sympathize or support this terrorist act.”

After the failure of the “internal separatists” card, the “Polisario” Front resorted to its activists abroad, including Algerians, to put pressure on the international community and the United Nations, in a move intended to extract a supportive position after more than 40 countries showed solidarity with the Kingdom of Morocco in defending its security and territorial integrity.

Among these we mention: Revolution of the King and the People and the Liberation Struggle during the rule of late King Mohammed V, as well as the Recovery of Southern Provinces and the establishment of modern state foundations during the era of late King Hassan II. Today, under the rule of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, we have witnessed a number of significant achievements among which we include: proclaiming the beginning of Equity and Reconciliation Era, promoting constitutional and human rights, re-adopting a social State, fostering sustainable development, launching the Autonomy Initiative for Moroccan Saharan regions, and rejoining the African Union in 2017.

Boussouf adds that “contributing to defending the nation against all opposition is contributing to defeating the enemy, and therefore convincing others that we are rightful as evidenced by history and geography. He also points out “from my small position, and my great passion for belonging to this country, and after more than two decades in Europe, my motive has always been the patriotic and spiritual duty, defending our ancestors’ homeland and declaring loyalty to a country that inhabits our hearts. We contributed to enriching the debate in light of national and international events related to the Moroccan Sahara through articles and interventions in which we were armed with logical and historical evidence.”

He concluded by saying that “our aim today, through collecting these articles, is to document a number of watersheds and emotional outbursts that Moroccans experienced wholeheartedly. Moreover, we would like to express our love and loyalty to this country. I love you, my country.”

Google placed a picture of the Moroccan national flag, in the place of its logo.

When you click on the Moroccan flag, you run into information about Morocco and the national struggle for independence. You can also get videos on the history of Morocco and the most prominent stations of the national resistance.

This is not the first time that “Google” participates in the celebration of national holidays with Moroccans. Just like other countries, the American giant aims to show its interest in users from different countries of the world.

Google Maps: No more borders between Morocco and its Sahara.

Amidst the rapid changes Morocco witnesses these days. Google has taken this golden opportunity to show consolidation and recognition of Morocco’s Anniversary of the Independence Day.

Google has also shown a good sign of support by deleting the imaginary borders separating Morocco with its Sahara on Google Maps. A gesture full of interpretations for Moroccans and the international community.

The Moroccan Sahara has been the subject of huge debate world-wide through various false accusations. Lately, Separatist “Polisario” militia have taken a step further and blocked the road leading from Morocco to Mauritania through the Guerguerat crossing. A gesture of stubbornness and hopelessness. The imaginary separatist front has tried to push it a step and blocked the Guerguerat Crossing. Thus, blocking the movement of traffic and civilians.

Many countries have been impacted by this blockade. Mauritania’s economy has witnessed a crisis and a sharp rise in prices. Different Mauritanian activists have called for Mauritania to intervene and withdraw its previous recognition of separatist “Polisario” as this latter has led the country to famine and crisis.

Morocco, after a long period of patience and negotiation, has finally engaged the Royal Armed Forces to intervene peacefully in liberating Guerguerat crossing from Separatist “Polisario” Militia who have fled the area in fear.
