World Cup 2022: FIFA selects an Argentinian referee to officiate Morocco-Spain match

The Argentinian referee Fernando Rapallini will officiate the match between Morocco and Spain scheduled for Tuesday, December 6 at 4:00 pm at the stadium “Education City Stadium”, announced FIFA.

Fernando Rapallini, who directed Morocco’s first game against Croatia (0-0), will be assisted by compatriots Juan Pablo Belatti and Diego Bonfa. Rapahael Clause of Brazil has been appointed as the fourth referee by FIFA.

The VAR will be supervised by Argentinian Mauro Vigliano, who will be assisted by Colombian Nicola Gallo, while the offside will be monitored by Uruguayan Nicolas Taran. FIFA has chosen Chilean Julio Bascunan to assist.

Morocco finished first in Group F with 7 points, followed by Croatia (5 points), Belgium (4 points), and Canada (0 point).

The players led by Walid Regragui will face a difficult task in opposing Luis Enrique’s strong team in order to write their own history and qualify for the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time.
