France qualifies to the semifinals Facing Morocco

At the start of the first half of their quarterfinal encounter at the FIFA World Cup 2022 at the Al Bayt Stadium, France took the lead over England thanks to a goal from Aurelien Tchouameni. But Harry Kane scored brilliantly to put his team on par with France.

In a thrilling quarterfinal at the Al Bayt Stadium, France had the upper hand in the early going and had a lead when Lloris deflected a fierce long-range shot from Kane around a post.

Both teams swapped opportunities in the second half, with Lloris tipping Jude Bellingham’s stinging shot over the crossbar and Jordan Pickford of England save a close-range Giroud volley.

Wednesday’s semifinal match between France and Morocco will take place in the same location, but England will depart after failing to replicate its run to the last four in 2018.
