Royal Navy invited to AMAN-23 multinational naval exercise in Pakistan

The information was reported this Thursday, December 22, 2022, by a number of Pakistani media outlets, who cited official sources in Islamabad.

On a recent visit to the Kingdom, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, the Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan, spoke with his Moroccan counterpart about a number of topics of mutual interest, regional maritime security, and bilateral cooperation, according to the same sources.

According to the same sources, the two parties have agreed to increase marine cooperation and cooperation between the two nations.The 8th naval peace exercise, known as AMAN (Peace), which would be held in mid-February 2023 with the participation of more than 40 countries, was also the occasion for the Pakistani naval head to extend an invitation to the Royal Navy.

The AMAN exercise aims to promote global collaboration in the fight against terrorism, piracy, and other crimes that could endanger global security and maritime stability.

We should also recall that earlier this week, Mohamed Karmoune, the Moroccan ambassador to Pakistan, paid a visit to the Pakistani Navy’s headquarters in Islamabad and had a meeting with Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, the chief of naval operations.

On the agenda of the meetings were issues of mutual interest, regional maritime security and bilateral collaboration
