Tourism: Numerous visitors in Morocco for the New Year’s

The celebration of New Year’s Eve and the end-of-year festivities are bringing a large number of foreign tourists to several Moroccan cities this Saturday, December 31.

Many tourists from Europe, the Arab world, and other places have visited Marrakech, Agadir, and Tangier this week to spend the weekend of December 30 and 31 in Morocco. These cities are well known for their abundance of tourist attractions.

Tourists have made reservations at numerous hotels throughout the Kingdom, particularly in Marrakech, in anticipation of celebrating New Year’s Eve with friends, family, coworkers, or relatives. Additionally, this end-of-year tourist influx portends even more significant flows given the excitement generated by the Atlas Lions’ historic achievement at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

This anticipation has grown since footage of the Kingdom’s World Cup team receiving a triumphant welcome in Rabat was broadcast on numerous foreign TV networks.
