Morocco: The 4th most attractive country for trade in Africa and 50th worldwide (Bloom Consulting)

The Spanish consulting firm Bloom Consulting, specialised in Nation Branding, has published its report “Country Brand Ranking Trade – 2022-2023 Edition”. Morocco, in this ranking, is ranked fourth in Africa and 50th in the world among the most attractive countries for trade.

The study combines the economic performance, the Nation Branding strategy and the online presence of countries on trade-related topics to assess their attractiveness in the field. Morocco, in this world ranking of the most attractive countries for trade is outranked on the continent by Nigeria (1st African and 36th worldwide), South Africa (39th worldwide) and Ghana (48th worldwide). Morocco, overtakes Egypt by one rank both on the continental and global level.

Africa Rank (Country Brand Ranking Trade – Edition 2022-2023)

On a global level, the United Kingdom is in the lead, followed by the United States, India, France and Germany. In the second half of the top 10 are Brazil, China, Australia, Singapore and Canada. Up until this ranking, the US has led all six editions of the Bloom Consulting Country Brand Ranking © – Trade. It seems that the Brexit has not affected the UK, which has beaten Uncle Sam to the punch.

Global rank (Country Brand Ranking Trade – Edition 2022-2023)

Every year since 2003, Bloom Consulting has published the Bloom Consulting Country Brand Ranking in two separate versions. One edition relates to tourism while the second relates to trade. The ranking determines a country’s position based on its economic performance based on previous economic history. The ranking uses dozens of variables to rank countries.
