The “Made in Morocco” at the heart of the 10th National Consumer Day

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is organising the 10th National Consumer Day on 15 March 2023 in Rabat, under the theme “The Moroccan consumer at the heart of the local product development strategy”.

This is in commemoration of World Consumer Day. “In a global context marked by successive crises that have negatively impacted the continuity and fluidity of supply chains, consuming locally is an alternative, if not a necessity,” the ministry said.
Therefore, the organizers of this edition have set the objective of highlighting the expectations of civil society in terms of promoting the “Made in Morocco” product as well as the efforts made by public and private actors.

The purpose of this event is to develop a competitive local product that meets the needs of the Moroccan consumer and to raise the standards of consumer protection in terms of quality and safety. Organised in collaboration with the federations of consumer protection associations and the ministerial departments concerned by the application of law n° 31-08 enacting consumer protection measures, this meeting of consumer actors will also be an opportunity to communicate about the progress made in consumer protection and the role that all these actors should play in the application and respect of the regulations in force, the ministry notes.
