Chief of Israeli liaison office in Morocco announces departure, as Govrin prepares for return

Alona Fisher-Kamm, the chief of the Israeli liaison office in Rabat, announced her resignation from Morocco while obviously upset. Fisher-Kamm expressed her thanks for her time in the nation in a touching statement.

She also emphasized the splendor of the natural world and the ideals of religious tolerance and harmony that she saw while she was in Morocco.

On the same week that Fisher-Kamm left, David Govrin was reportedly returning to his position in Rabat, according to sources in Israeli media. This choice was made after Govrin was the subject of an inquiry investigating claims of sexual harassment and financial misconduct.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs had previously claimed that Fisher-duty Kamm’s in Morocco was to make sure that business at the Israeli liaison office in Rabat continued uninterrupted.
