Funeral in Rabat of Late Khalid Naciri in Presence of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid

Rabat – The funeral of the former minister of Communication and one of the leaders of the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS), the late Khalid Naciri, took place Thursday at the Chouhada cemetery in Rabat, in the presence of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid.

The deceased’s remains were interred at the Chouhada cemetery in Rabat after the Al Asr and funeral prayers at the Chouhada Mosque, in the presence of the deceased’s family and his relatives. Furthermore present were the Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, Mohamed Yacoubi, governor of the Rabat prefecture, leaders and members of the PPS, as well as officials from several political parties.

The family of the late Khalid Naciri received a message of sympathy and condolences from H.M. King Mohammed VI.

The Sovereign recalled in this message the deceased’s noble characteristics, which gave him the privilege to hold many important positions and missions, whether at the academic, governmental, or diplomatic levels, and which he carried out with competence, wisdom, prudence, and skill.

Khalid Naciri, who passed away in 2018, held a number of positions of authority, including minister of communication, government spokesman from 2007 to 2012, and Moroccan ambassador to Jordan since 2018.

The deceased, who was born in Casablanca in 1946, was also the director of the Higher Institute of Administration from 1996 to 2000.

Also, he was a political science and law professor at various universities including the École nationale d’administration.
