Fes chosen as “best cultural destination in the world” by Tripadvisor
The Tripadvisor community recently chose Fes as the “best cultural destination in the world.” The winner of this contest was announced at the 43rd Fitur, which is being held in Madrid through January 22, 2023. The Kingdom’s spiritual center is at the top of the list of “the best cultural destinations, which tourists visit to take in the local history and cultural offerings.”
“Nothing but happiness for this destination which will experience a beautiful tourist growth thanks to the efforts made by the various actors, professionals, and others “, confides to The Economist, Adel El Fakir, DG of the ONMT. While each city has its own unique culture, the list promoted by Tripadvisor customers reveals travelers’ favorite getaways for a cultural trip, led by Fes, Morocco. The thousand-year-old city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. “Its creation dates back to medieval times with ancient quarters in the form of the medina labyrinth and imposing gates marked by the work of artisans,” praises the Tripadvisor community.
