FRMF congratulates Moroccan referees appointed for 2026 World Cup
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) congratulated Moroccan referees after their selection to officiate at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
In an official statement, the FRMF said the appointment reflects the growing standing of Moroccan refereeing at the international level and praised the consistency and professionalism of Moroccan officials across major competitions.
The federation extended its warm congratulations and best wishes to the selected referees as they take on their World Cup duties, stressing the importance of representing Moroccan refereeing at the highest level and contributing to the international visibility of national football.
Moroccan referees selected for FIFA 2026
The referees appointed are Jalal Jiyed (center referee), Zakaria Brinssi (assistant referee), Mustapha Akarkad (assistant referee), and Hamza El Fariq (VAR referee).
The FRMF wished them full success in accomplishing their mission and in carrying the colors of Moroccan refereeing on the global stage.
