Said Amzazi: Morocco-US (MCC) Launch New Vocational Training Center in Nouaceur, Morocco.

Said Amzazi has chaired the Inauguration of Construction Work of a Vocational Training Center in Professions of Transport and Logistics Services in Nouaceur, Casablanca.

Morocco’s Minister of Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Said Amzazi chaired yesterday, Friday, February 5th, with the presence of US Consul General to Casablanca, Morocco, Lawrence M. Randolph, the Wali of Casablanca-Settat Region and Governor of the prefecture of Casablanca, Said Ahmidouch, Council President of the Casablanca-Settat Region, Mustapha Bakkoury, and President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Chakib Laalej, the official inauguration ceremony of construction work of a Vocational Training Center in professions of Transport and Logistics Services in Nouaceur, a province in the region of Casablanca-Settat.

The establishment of this Vocational Training Center comes in the framework of the implementation of the New Roadmap for the development of vocational training presented before His Majesty, King of Morocco, Mohammed VI in April 2019 and in the framework of the Second Cooperation Program “Compact II” concluded between Morocco and United States Government represented by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) which focuses on improving the quality of human capital and land productivity.

It’s worth noting that the total cost of this project equals 82.7 Million MAD, Millennium Challenge Account has contributed with 57,1 Million MAD to establish this Vocational Training Center which is going to be managed by The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) under the partnership between the public and private sectors to provide 860 pedagogical seats annually, 320 of which go to Basic Vocational Training in streams of Warehouse Management, Exploitation of Transport and Logistics, Industrial Logistics, and Production Management. While the remaining 540 seats go for Qualifying Training.

This Vocational Training Center aims at improving trainees’ skills in professions of maintenance of motor vehicles (Land Transport Stream), leading logistics operations, and driving.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the attendance of: the Governor of Nouaceur province, Secretary General of the department of Vocational Training, Resident Country Director of Millennium Challenge in Morocco, Director General of Millennium Challenge Account-Morocco Agency, Director General of the Moroccan Agency of Logistics Development (AMDL), and President of the Federation of Transport and Logistics (FTL).
