Atlas Lionesses kick off training ahead of Women’s World Cup

The Atlas Lionesses of Morocco have begun practicing in preparation for the 2017 Women’s World Cup, which will start in Australia and New Zealand in July.

The list of players who have been called up for the World Cup was previously released by national coach Reynald Pedros during a press conference on Monday.

The Lionesses and the team’s technical staff also met with the president of the Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, to boost morale.

In a statement released by the FRMF, Lekjaa stressed “the necessity of rising to the challenge during this global tournament and showcasing the technical level of the national team to the world.”
