Othman Benjelloun, chosen “Best African Personality” 2022
Recognition for Othman Benjelloun and Bank Of Africa (BOA) in Paris. The chairman of BOA was named “Best African Personality” by the prestigious Africa Investments Forum & Awards, organised by Leaders League, on 7 February in the French capital.
The achievement of the first BOA’s CEO, “African Personality of the Year 2022”, “rewards the strong and determined commitment of President Othman Benjelloun to accompany the development of the continent, as a key economic and financial actor in Africa, supporting strategic projects of transformation and Moroccan-African co-development”, underlines a press release of the Bank of Africa group.

This prize, awarded by the Africa Investments Forum & Awards whose jury is composed of 100 members, brings together each year a high-level audience of over 700 public and private decision-makers and rewards the best players operating on the African continent as well as companies for their performance in Africa and their innovation, it is noted.
The Bank Of Africa Group was also awarded the prize of “Best African Bank of the Year 2022”, an honour received for the third time since 2018, for “its remarkable positioning on the African continent, relying on a powerful network and a presence in 20 African countries that cover the 5 zones of the continent”, the statement said.
“Bank Of Africa is, in fact, a reference player strongly committed to the environment and sustainable development, particularly through the BMCE Bank Foundation, which promotes education and community development in rural areas in Morocco and sub-Saharan Africa,” BOA stresses.
In addition, he continues, “the Bank has capitalised on its know-how in impact finance and social and environmental responsibility”.
