Morocco is a “Great Team That We Respect”, Says Guimarães
Bruno Guimarães said Morocco is a "great team" that commands respect ahead of the 2026 World Cup clash with Brazil. The Brazilian national team midfielder, Bruno Guimarães, stated on Monday in New Jersey that the Moroccan team possesses a high-quality squad, emphasizing that the Atlas Lions inspire “deep respect” within the Seleção.
Responding to a question from MAP during a press conference, Guimarães noted that the current generation of the Moroccan national team “is one of the best in history”.
The Newcastle United player added that the match against Morocco will be “difficult” for the Brazilian team, while expressing his hope to see the Seleção “produce their best football”.
The Moroccan national football team and its Brazilian counterpart will face off on June 13 as part of the first matchday of Group C in the 2026 World Cup.
The Atlas Lions will then lock horns with Scotland before concluding their group stage run against Haiti.
