Based on the latest CEN-SAD statement, this structured and innovative project reflects His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco’s desire to provide the Kingdom with full and comprehensive industrial and technological capabilities for the manufacture of vaccines in Morocco.

The CEN-SAD community highlighted that this royal initiative is fully in line with the vision of the African Union’s Agenda 2063, whereby the African continent has a center of excellence in biotechnology that will enable it to guarantee its medical and technological independence in the face of current health risks, as well as the emergence of epidemics.

On this occasion, the same source adds, the Community of Sahel-Saharan Countries valued the insightful vision of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI for launching this exceptional project that will enable the Kingdom to have optimal technological capabilities in the field of independent production of high-quality, safe, effective, and available medicines and vaccines at reasonable prices, noting that “African countries will benefit from the expertise, health sovereignty and shining leadership of Morocco on the continental level.”

The Assembly also made mention of this strategic project, which will empower the African continent to continue to establish industrial poles that contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals and ensure the continent’s full economic integration, in conformity with the terms of the Abuja Treaty (3 June 1991).

According to the statement issued by the Community of Sahel-Saharan States, Morocco will be able to produce five million doses of the Cofid-19 vaccine per month for a total cost of $500 million.

The members of the cell are aged between 22 and 28 and were plotting terror acts across Morocco, according to a statement from the BCIJ.

This operation falls within the framework of security operations aimed at combating the dangers of the terrorist threat and aborting subversive schemes , that threaten the security and stability of Morocco .

BCIJ explained that according to the field research and technical tracking operations made it possible , to gather accurate data about the terrorist project of this cell.

The Central bureau of Judicial investigation highlighted that after completing the recruitment and polarization processes , and ending the total involvement of all elements of the cell in this terrorist project, they moved to material implementation of the sabotage schemes that were identified as immediate targets .

The research and investigation procedures also clarified, that the members of this terrorist cell bet on polarization and recruitment among young children, for the purpose of spreading and popularizing extremist ideology according to a statement from the BCIJ.

The chemical substances discovered in suspects’ homes, enabled the seizure of white weapons of various sizes, information equipment, a welding machine, and chemicals suspected, which is fifty kilograms. of ammonium nitrate, three kilograms of “potash sulfate,” and three bags of 800 grams containing suspicious chemical powders, as well as electrical wires and a scale.

The source indicated that the arrested persons were kept under the measure of theoretical guard at the reference of the judicial research so as to reveal the regional and international links of the members of this terrorist cell, and to identify all the terrorist projects they planned.

This security operation, adds Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) confirms ‘the continued growth of terrorist threats that await the security of Morocco and the safety of citizens’.

In this regard, El Otmani recalled part of the speech of His Majesty King Mohammed VI before the Tunisian Parliament in May 2014 when he affirmed that “he is deluding himself who imagines that a country can, alone, overcome problems related to security and stability.”

“Experience has shown that exclusive approaches are ineffective in dealing with security dangers lurking in the region, especially in view of the challenges facing the Sahelo-Saharan area in terms of security and development”, said His Majesty.

El Othmani stated that King Mohammed VI wanted Morocco’s solidarity action to extend beyond emergency. The Prime Minister has also declared that the immediate response to terrorism is first and foremost related to “security”.

However, he ruled that a lasting victory over terrorist threats should be achieved by combining several aspects, including political, economic, social, intellectual and humanitarian aspects.

He thus affirmed that King Mohammed VI ensures that Morocco continues to train imams from the region within the Mohammed VI Institute for training Imams, Mourchidines, and Mourchidates, which has made it possible to train 937 people from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) during the year 2018-2019. Several hundred are already practicing in their countries of origin, helping to counter religious extremism.

In addition, he reiterated Morocco’s commitment to continue to support the establishment of the G5 Sahel Defense College in Nouakchott, and to train officers from neighboring Sahel countries in the country’s military training institutes.

Finally, Saad Dine El Otmani affirmed that by taking part in the G5 Sahel Summit, the Kingdom of Morocco, supported by its ancestral links with countries of the Sahel and faithful to its vocation as a committed actor for the promotion of peace and stability in Africa, reaffirms here, before you all, its commitment to solidarity with G5 Sahel and other countries of the sub-region to counter, together, all kinds of threats weighing on their future and that of the entire region.

As stated by the same source, the decision is imminent. French President Emmanuel Macron may announce the third quarantine in the country by next Wednesday’s evening.

On the report of the newspaper, the new closure could begin before the weekend, and last for three weeks at least. There was no comment from Ministry of Health officials in this regard.

Last Thursday, Health Minister Olivier Ferran said it is possible to make a decision on a new closure or stricter restrictions within days or weeks. France has crossed 3M cases on Friday.

Experts warn from infections caused by the new strain, which is highly transmissible and possibly more deadly since it was discovered in Britain last year; saying they will likely increase in the coming weeks.

A Moroccan Jew stated in the interview: “We are very happy, us Jews of Israel, France, and all over the world, our country is always in our hearts, and we remain Moroccans wherever we may be.”
Many citizens stated that they are very happy with the normalization, and are welcoming Moroccans into their country. Some have even spoken of how welcoming Moroccans were to them as well in their visits to Morocco, stating that they would be equally joyful if Moroccans come to Israel.
“We are all humans, we are all people, and we love life. there is nothing more amazing than that. For what purpose do we live? For wars? No, no.. We only live for peace, for the purpose of visiting one another and exploring the wonders of nature or the makings of mankind in their own countries.” An Israeli Citizen beautifully said.

Another Israeli Citizen stated:” We are extremely happy, peace is a beautiful and joyous thing, and we invite the Moroccan people to visit us, to see that things are different and good and that they would be welcomed with much love and happiness.”
In another statement, one of the interviewees also spoke of the economic state, saying: “This will enhance our economy and theirs, and hearts will be open to one another, creating even better relations, and I believe there are many similar things between us, many Israeli citizens come from Arab and Arabic speaking countries.”
Moroccans living in Israel showed how proud they were of their roots, and Israelis as well as Arabs living in Israel shared this pride and joy with their fellow Moroccans showing the true spirit of peace, tolerance, and a high level of awareness, with a clarification on how this step also makes a better future for their children.
