Heatwave, Hot Weather Expected from Sunday to Wednesday in Moroccan Several Provinces
A heatwave and hot weather conditions are expected from Sunday to Wednesday in several provinces across the Kingdom, the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) announced.
The provinces of Es-Semara, Assa-Zag, Boujdour, Oued Eddahab-Aousserd, Tarfaya, Tan-Tan and Laâyoune will experience a heatwave, with temperatures ranging between 42°C and 45°C from Sunday to Wednesday, the DGM said in an orange-level weather alert bulletin.
The same phenomenon, with temperatures oscillating between 37°C and 42°C, will also affect during the same period the provinces of Sidi Slimane, Rhamna, Nouaceur, Khemisset, Sidi Bennour, Youssoufia, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Meknes, Khénifra, Fez, Kenitra, Sidi Kacem, Benslimane, Berrechid, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Marrakech, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Larache, Ouezzane, Essaouira, Safi, Guelmim, Taroudant and Tata, according to the same source.
In addition, the provinces of Agadir-Ida Outanane, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Tiznit, Rabat, Salé and Skhirate-Témara will experience hot weather from Sunday to Tuesday, with temperatures ranging between 38°C and 41°C, while temperatures between 34°C and 38°C are expected over the same period in Sidi Ifni, Casablanca, Mediouna, Mohammedia and El Jadida, the same source added.
