Morocco’s Top Police Chief Leads High-Level Delegation on Working Visit to Türkiye
Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of Morocco’s National Security and Territorial Surveillance (DGSN-DGST), is carrying out a working visit to Türkiye on May 7–8, leading a senior security delegation. Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, is paying a working visit to the Republic of Turkey on May 7–8 at the head of a high-level security delegation, according to a statement from the DGSN-DGST Directorate.
The visit comes at the invitation of the Director General of the Turkish National Police, Mahmut Demirtaş, as part of Morocco’s participation in the 5th edition of the International Defence and Aerospace Exhibition (SAHA 2026), currently taking place in Istanbul.
On this occasion, Hammouchi held talks with several senior Turkish security officials, including Ibrahim Kalin, head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization, and Hüseyin Avşar, Vice President of the Turkish Defence Industries Agency (SSB). Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral security cooperation, as well as addressing issues of mutual interest and developments in security-related technologies and equipment.
The visit aims to further strengthen cooperation between Moroccan and Turkish security services, particularly in technical assistance and operational coordination, while exploring the latest innovations in defence and security technologies.
According to the statement, the initiative reflects the strategic nature of relations between Morocco and Turkey.
