What is African Lion 26
African Lion 26 is U.S. Africa Command’s largest annual joint military exercise. It launched on April 27 and runs through May 8, hosted across four countries: Morocco, Ghana, Senegal, and Tunisia. Activities in Morocco involve approximately 5,000 personnel from more than 40 countries and over 30 U.S.-based industry partners, executing operations across multiple locations within the country. The exercise is designed to strengthen collective security capabilities of the United States, African nations, and global allies.
