Marrakech-Menara airport in the top 10 of the best airports in the world in 2021

The airport of Marrakech-Menara was ranked eighth among the world’s greatest airports. Condé Nast Traveler, a global source on leisure and travel based in New York, awarded it this spot in its “Readers’ Choice Awards” column.

The 34th annual ranking drew 800,000 readers from the US publication Condé Nast Traveler. They ranked Marrakech-Menara Airport 7th among the best airports in the world, with a score of 78.91 out of 100, based on their travel experiences.

Marrakech-Menara Airport has been regarded as “a direct reflection of Moroccan and North African culture” as the entry to one of North Africa’s most popular tourist attractions.

The airport in Marrakech-Menara covers 22 hectares and has three terminals with a total capacity of 9 million passengers per year. It’s a 6-kilometer drive southwest of the city center.

Singapore Changi Airport came out on top in this list of the world’s best airports. Istanbul Airport and Narita Airport are the next two airports on the list (Japan). Incheon International Airport (South Korea) is ranked fourth, followed by Hamad (Qatar) and Dubai International Airports (United Arab Emirates).
