Mercato: Agreement between OM and Angers for Ounahi

Marseille and Angers have agreed to transfer the Moroccan, one of the revelations of the last World Cup. Unless something happens, but it was not the tendency on Friday, the midfielder will be an Olympian.

The transfer of Azzedine Ounahi, for 10 million euros with a significant resale percentage, has been agreed upon by Olympique de Marseille (OM) and Angers SCO. RMC Sport reports that the 22-year-old Moroccan international may agree to a four and a half year contract.

The same source claimed that “all parties are confident” and that “only a few details are missing to complete the deal.” Meanwhile, Ounahi “has not attended all of the Angers training sessions in recent days. RMC Sport recalls that the participation of Morocco, a World Cup semifinalist, in the international was one of the surprises of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Therefore, the OM is “in the process of realizing a nice deal,” especially in light of Ivan Ilic’s departure for Torino.

Azzedine Ounahi was one of the revelations of the World Cup in Qatar with the Atlas Lions. Semi-finalist of the World Cup, the midfielder started all the games of Morocco in the midfield except the game against Croatia (defeat 2-1).
