FRMF President says report on ticket scandal will be out soon

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation’s (FRMF) president, Faouzi Lekjaa, announced that a report on the so-called “World Cup tickets scam” will be out soon.

Lekjaa began his address at the FRMF Executive Office meeting by congratulating King Mohammed VI on behalf of the whole organization for receiving the Excellence Award from the Confederation of African Football during the event held in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda.

In a letter to CAF, King Mohammed VI revealed that the Kingdom of Morocco, together with Spain and Portugal, would like to host the 2030 World Cup. The president urged the national football family to support this bid.

Lakjaa emphasized that the tasks of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation have grown to be numerous and diverse, including hosting numerous African competitions and international gatherings, which necessitates it to exert double efforts. This was in reference to the meeting’s agenda, which included a single point related to the restructuring of the university’s committees.

Moreover, it calls on the national leagues to fulfill their obligations in the performance of their roles and areas of expertise.

In order to replace the central committee, which was determined to be abolished, a technical arbitration committee comprised of representatives from all national groups was decided upon at the conclusion of the discussion.

in addition to allowing each national league to rule on its disciplinary cases through specialized committees, and removing the head of the National Directorate of Arbitration’s duties.
