Ninho to Open Mawazine 2026 Festival in Rabat
French Rapper and Singer Ninho The Mawazine Festival has announced its first major artist for the 2026 edition, and it’s a big one. French rapper Ninho will open the festival on June 19 at the OLM Souissi in Rabat.
The festival, which will run from June 19 to 27, is celebrating its 21st edition this year and is starting strong with one of the biggest names in French rap.
Born William Nzobazola, Ninho is one of the most successful artists in the French rap scene. Since his breakthrough mixtape M.I.L.S in 2016, he has broken multiple records. He has over 400 certified singles and several diamond albums, making him one of the most influential rappers of his generation.
His albums, including Destin, Jefe, and NI, have helped shape modern French rap. He has also performed at major venues like the Stade de France, confirming his status as a top performer.
Fans attending the opening night at OLM Souissi can expect a high-energy performance, as Ninho is known for his strong stage presence and technical rap skills.
Interestingly, the artist already has a connection with Morocco. In his recent song “King Von,” he mentions switching to a Moroccan SIM card with the +212 country code, a detail that excited local fans and increased anticipation for his performance.
