Marrakech to Host 2nd Edition of Economic Forum for Moroccan Diaspora
Marrakech will host the second edition of the Economic Forum of Moroccans of the World (FEMM) on May 8, bringing together institutional leaders and prominent figures from the Moroccan diaspora to discuss investment, innovation, and development opportunities.
This year’s forum will place a strong emphasis on the role of innovation in shaping investment dynamics among Moroccans living abroad. Participants are expected to explore ways to better channel diaspora resources toward productive economic initiatives in Morocco.
The event will be structured around three main panels. The first will focus on productive investment and innovation, highlighting opportunities for entrepreneurship and value creation. The second will address the mobilization of savings from Moroccans residing abroad, a key lever for financing development projects. The third panel will examine the contribution of the diaspora to regional development across Morocco.
For this edition, the forum will also introduce the FEMM Business Awards, designed to recognize outstanding companies created in Morocco by members of the Moroccan diaspora or the expansion of their international businesses into the country. Three prizes will be awarded to highlight entrepreneurial success stories and cross-border economic engagement.
The forum aims to strengthen links between Morocco and its global community while encouraging greater participation of the diaspora in national economic transformation.
