The vote came by acclamation, with Morocco represented by Mustapha Amedjar, Director of Relations with Media Actors at the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication. It’s a role that builds on the trust the Kingdom has earned within the broader system of joint Arab cooperation, reflecting its contributions over the years to strengthening media coordination among Arab states.
The timing lines up neatly with another milestone: the Arab League’s Council of Arab Information Ministers approved Rabat as the Arab Media Capital for 2026 back in November.
There was more good news for Morocco at the same session. Fatima Tazi, an advisor at the Court of Cassation, was elected to the Arab League’s Administrative Court — another sign, organizers say, of the confidence placed in Moroccan expertise across the League’s institutions, and of the Kingdom’s active hand in the various bodies that make up joint Arab work.
