Uber Plans Expansion to Morocco’s Dakhla City
Uber plans to expand its ride-hailing services to the Moroccan city of Dakhla. U.S. ride-hailing company Uber plans to expand its services to the Moroccan city of Dakhla as part of a broader strategy to strengthen its presence in the Moroccan market.
According to Africa Intelligence, Uber commissioned a Moroccan consulting firm to conduct a market study aimed at expanding its operations, including in Dakhla, one of the largest cities in Morocco’s southern provinces.
Uber currently operates in several major Moroccan cities, including Casablanca, Marrakech, Tangier and Agadir.
The planned expansion to Dakhla comes as the company seeks to grow its footprint in Morocco ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup preparations.
